On Wednesday (5/8/2009), PT. LEN (Persero) launch Portable Modular Equipment Room (PMER). For the first time PMER will be used in Signaling & Telecommunication System Development Project, worth Rp 127 Billion, in North Sumatera, Indonesia. This project has expanse as long as 400 km, which is the longest expanse have been handled by PT. LEN (Persero). Those PMER will be implemented in 40 train stations across North Sumatera.

PMER is one of PT. LEN (Persero) innovation where it use Container for Equipment Building Solution and Project Working Method Solution all at once. For the Container modification, PT. LEN (Persero) working hand in hand with one of PT. SILkargo Indonesia affiliated company, PT. Masaji Tatanan Container (MTCon). MTCon have experience in Container Modification such as Office Container, Hanging Container, etc, beside it’s experience as Depot Container.

In order to distribute PMER and it’s supporting equipments to all 40 train stations across North Sumatera, PT. LEN (Persero) entrust PT. SILkargo Indonesia to handle the distribution.
